Information We Collect
Account information includes your email address, account identifiers, and sign-in session data from our authentication provider. If you create a profile, we also store the handle or display name you choose.
Location information includes precise device location and heading when needed to query nearby Layers, place Drops, and report interactions to the server. Location is used while you are using the app.
User content includes Drops you create, text you enter, media you attach, report notes, block actions, friend requests, and related Layer activity.
Technical information can include request timestamps, IP address, device and app version, API errors, and security logs needed to operate and protect the service.
Camera And AR
Beyond uses camera access to render Layers and Spatial Objects in the real world. Camera frames are processed on device for AR rendering. Layers do not receive raw camera frames, and Beyond does not sell or use camera data for advertising tracking.
How We Use Information
- Authenticate your session and keep your account secure.
- Fetch nearby Layers and Spatial Objects for your current location.
- Create, render, delete, and manage your Drops and uploaded media.
- Support friends, blocks, reports, moderation, and abuse prevention.
- Operate the service, debug failures, and protect the Layer runtime.
Sharing
We share information with service providers that run authentication, hosting, storage, and infrastructure for Beyond. We do not sell personal information and we do not use third-party advertising tracking.
Some profile information, such as a handle or display name, may be visible to friends or users who interact with social features. Scene responses and Drops are designed to stay pseudonymous unless a feature explicitly shows a profile surface.
Your Choices
- You can deny camera or location permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can delete your own Drops from the app where supported.
- You can report Drops, block creators or profiles, and manage blocked users.
